Thanks for visiting my creative website. I'm Steve bases in Sheffield UK and I help businesses, organisations and individuals excel their products and services with my Graphic Design and Photograph Skills. I've worked as a Graphic Designer for many years both in Print and Digital Environments creating exciting eye catching visuals to promote products and services throughout various types of industries.
I offer a variety of different skill sets, primarily I am a Graphic Designer but I also offer a multitude of creative skills like Artworking, Illustration and Photography. I am a very creative person, it runs through my blood. Since the day I first opened my eyes and had a pencil in my hand have always enjoyed creating something on paper and now digitally so you won't catch me using Ai or anything like that as I'm a true supporter of Human Creativity.
I started as a Graphic Designer from way at the bottom sweeping floors and making tea then got my first proper job after leaving College as a Full Time Graphic Designer within a small print production company so learned the ins and outs of Litho printing and colour, working with pantones, overprints, trapping, typesetting and setting files up accordingly for different types of printed materials, an essential skill to learn in my eyes which has been the anchor to my knowledge and helped me progress through the years.
Since 2011 I have been self employed under the guise of Robot Wig working for various different sectors including but not limited to: Healthcare, Fashion, Retail, Product, B2B, B2C, Museums, Sports Events and much more I've worked both remotely and in house.
I've won a variety of awards and accolades over the years for my creative work, I've featured for Sony Pictures and AMC for some of my illustration work. I've won various business awards for my Photography. I have featured on the BBC and various News outlets all of which are showcased on here so please do take a look, Most recently I positioned as a Quarter Finalist for the Johnny Depp Hosted People's Art Award which was a huge achievement based on the number of talented applicants.
My Miniature Photography work coined as the Mini-Verse has garnered a lot of online interest, I started this during Covid trying to learn Product Photography and Lighting which I knew absolutely nothing about so taught myself everything I know. I take it upon myself to do as much as possible practically 'In Camera' as I can. I personally think it adds value to the work I create and longevity to my photos. I love adding details so you can revisit an image and see something new everytime. Please do take a look at my cinematic photography if you enjoy movies and pop culture you'll be sure to be here for a while and also check out my behind the scenes which shows how I utilise simple household items and make epic special effects from them (you'll never look at cotton wool and foil the same again).
I pride myself in all the work that I do both in Graphic Design, illustration and photography. I'm meticulous and detailed with my work I believe in putting passion and effort into every single thing I do. I consider my work as vibrant and striking with a real eye catching edge to it.
I'd love to work with new clients in different sectors especially with my Photography work I'd love to get talking to Toy Manufacturers and Kidult Organisations for creating some exciting Product Visuals for them I think my Photography work would be truly exciting and excel sales through my visually impactful work.
